The best book on the subject I have come across

I've found Stefan Linder's book the most educative and enjoyable reading. I especially like the many illustrations visualizing the in reality quite complicated physical phenomena. They greatly help in grasping the ideas under discussion. The text is logical, precise and clear, showing throughout how the writer really has his own, true understanding of the subject and how he aims to help the reader to attain this understanding too. This book was exactly what I was looking for and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any Technical University student or engineer occupied with power components. It is by far the best book on the subject I have come across.
